• We worked to get legislation mandated by the
Appraisal Foundation passed in our state so that
appraisers will continue to be licensed when the
January 1, 2008 deadline arrives. Otherwise, South
Carolina could have been de-certified and appraisers
may not have been able to appraise real property in
    South Carolina.
  • We have formed a political action committee that
has donated funds to legislators who support
    appraisers in South Carolina.
  • We work in close contact with legislative and
regulatory agencies including the South Carolina
Appraisers Board, South Carolina Department of
Consumer Affairs, and the South Carolina Department
    of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation.
  • We cosponsored Homebuying 101, a workshop
created by the South Carolina Department of
Consumer Affairs to educate homebuyers about the
benefits of hiring appraisers and handed out SCPAC
    membership lists to attendees.
  • We have a network of appraisers that are willing to
    share data.
  • We believe in our profession and know that we can
    make a difference.
What does SCPAC do for me?
